  1. In all cases participants should follow government guidance applicable to their personal situation, additional local restrictions and in relation to travel to and from the venue.
  2. Participants MUST NOT attend training if they, or anyone in their household, have:
    • A new and continuous cough
    • A high temperature
    • Loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste
    • Been asked to self-isolate by Public Health England or Track & Trace.
  3. Players should arrive ready to train to minimise use of changing facilities at the venue.
  4. Participant should wear freshly washed sporting attire
  5. Participants should bring their own equipment where possible and avoid sharing equipment.
  6. Prior to training players must sanitise their hands and any equipment brought should be cleaned prior to use. Players will be asked to re-sanitise their hands throughout the training sessions and are advised to bring their own hand sanitiser for this purpose.
  7. Participants shall always practice social distancing. 2m is preferred but no less than 1m shall be maintained as a minimum.
  8. Resin MUST NOT be used.
  9. After the session participants should leave the venue promptly. It is recommended that transport home be available from 15 minutes prior to the end of the session to facilitate this.
  10. Participants should shower and change at home and wash clothes immediately after activity.
  11. Goal keepers should have a change of training attire when goal-keeping work is envisaged.

Additional Guidance for Coaches and Staff

  1. A register of everyone attending the session must be taken. This should include staff as well as players.
  2. Plan sessions to facilitate social distancing requirements.
  3. Avoid physical contact. There should be no tackling or close face to face training.
  4. No competitive match play should take place.
  5. Keep equipment well-spaced and allow time within the session to facilitate regular sanitation of equipment and hands.
  6. Training with balls and goalkeepers is permitted. However, for the first two weeks it is recommended that this is avoided or very much minimised.
  7. When using goal keepers, it is advised that they have a change of clothing available and should be advised to change during the session due to the extra contact time goal keepers may have with the ball and equipment.
  8. Participants should be in groups of no more than 6. However, more than 6 players can participate in training sessions.
